Telangana MDS Counselling 2026: KNRUHS Management Quota Admission — NEET MDS Cut Off, Fees & Eligibility Explained

Sep 10, 2026

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, has released the official notification for MDS admission 2026 under Management Quota for dental colleges affiliated to KNRUHS in Telangana. If you're targeting a Telangana MDS seat this cycle, here's a complete breakdown of the NEET MDS 2026 cut off, registration dates, fees, and everything else in the notification.

KNRUHS Counselling 2026: What's Being Notified

This notification is specifically for online registration for web-based counselling to determine merit position for admission into Management Quota seats only, across MDS courses in Dental Colleges affiliated to KNRUHS. It's open to NEET-MDS 2026 qualified Indian Nationals, OCI, PIO, and NRI candidates.

Importantly, this notice covers only the registration and merit-position stage. The total number of Management Quota seats for 2026-27, and the tuition fee (to be fixed separately by Government of Telangana orders), will both be notified on the KNRUHS website before web options for counselling actually begin. The dates for exercising web options will also be notified separately - this notification is not the final counselling schedule itself.

NEET MDS 2026 Cut Off Score: Qualifying Criteria by Category

Candidates need to check the NEET MDS 2026 cut off marks carefully before applying, since eligibility for Telangana MDS counselling is tied directly to this revised cut-off:

General Category: 50th percentile, cut-off score of 308 marks.

General PWD: 45th percentile, cut-off score of 289 marks.

SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th percentile, cut-off score of 271 marks.

A crucial clarification on this NEET MDS cutoff: the lower percentage/percentile for SC/ST/BC/OBC/PWD candidates is only for eligibility purposes and does not translate into reservation benefits — the notification is explicit that there are no category reservations under Management Quota. Merit position is based purely on NEET-MDS 2026 score once eligibility is met.

NEET MDS 2026 Eligibility: Who Can Apply

To be eligible for this Telangana MDS counselling round, candidates must meet all of the following:

Have qualified NEET MDS 2026 by securing marks at or above the applicable cut-off score shown above.

Have passed their BDS Degree examination from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India.

Candidates who completed their BDS from an institution outside the country must compulsorily submit a Permanent Registration Certificate.

Be registered with the National Dental Commission (NDC) / Dental Council of India (DCI) / Telangana State Dental Council.

Have completed internship by 31.05.2026, and submit the Internship Completion Certificate as proof.

Registration Schedule and Application Website

Candidates can register online and upload scanned certificates on https://pvttsmds.tsche.in  from 6:00 AM on 9th September, 2026, up to 6:00 PM on 13th September, 2026. The online application can be completed through any computer with an internet connection — no in-person submission is required at this registration stage.

MDS Counselling Fees: Registration, Processing & Equivalency

The Registration and Verification Fee for MDS degree courses is ₹10,000 (bank transaction charges extra), payable online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. This fee, once paid, is non-refundable and non-adjustable to a further date under any circumstances.

Candidates who completed their BDS from another Indian state must additionally pay an equivalency fee of ₹5,000, while those with a BDS from another country must pay ₹7,000 — both payable alongside the Registration and Processing Fee.

Documents Required for Online Application

Candidates need to upload the following mandatory documents during registration: a latest passport-size photo, NEET-MDS 2026 Admit Card and Score Card, Original/Provisional BDS Degree Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Study Certificates (1st year to final BDS), latest Category certificate (for BC/SC/ST candidates, for eligibility purposes only — remember, no reservation applies under Management Quota), Internship Completion Certificate, and Permanent Dental Council Registration Certificate.

Candidates claiming NRI quota (MQ-2) must additionally submit documents from a blood relative — father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, or aunt only — along with a declaration to that effect, an NRI Sponsorship Declaration Form, an NRI status certificate of the financial supporter issued by the respective country's Embassy, a copy of the NRI's bank passbook, and a copy of the NRI financial supporter's passport.

Candidates applying under Institutional Quota (MQ-3) need a Sponsorship Certificate from the college, while those applying for the Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS) must submit specific documents — Ex-servicemen ID card, discharge book, PPO, Part II order, and ECHS card (signed by the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer), or a Serving Certificate and Dependency Certificate, as applicable.

Understanding the Management Quota Seat Structure

MDS seats under Management Quota - including those at Army Dental College - will be displayed separately on the KNRUHS website (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in/)  before online counselling begins. The final seat matrix across MQ-1, MQ-2, and MQ-3 sub-categories will also be published there ahead of counselling.

Army Dental College MDS seats are reserved exclusively for wards of Army Personnel.

As per G.O.Ms. No. 200, HM&FW(C1) Dept., dated 03.11.2025, within MQ-1, 15% of seats are open to candidates from across India, while the remaining 85% are reserved for local candidates of Telangana, with local candidature criteria determined as per G.O.Ms. No. 62, HM&FW(C1) Dept., dated 27.07.2024.

Critical Notes Candidates Must Not Overlook

An online application submitted without uploading mandatory certificates, a passport-size photo, or a signature at the declaration area will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining merit position using the NEET-MDS 2026 score.

Getting a merit position does not guarantee that your candidature is accepted by the University, nor does it confirm that your submitted entries are treated as true and correct — KNRUHS will conduct online verification of certificates covering educational qualifications, dental council registration validity, internship certification, and category status. If any furnished information is found incorrect, the candidature is liable to be cancelled, with further action as deemed fit.

Registration and certificate upload is a one-time process, done only once regardless of how many times a candidate later exercises web options or participates in subsequent counselling rounds - no separate notification will be issued for original certificate verification, so candidates must register and upload every mandatory document correctly the first time.

Provisional and Final Merit Lists will be released only after scrutiny of applications and certificates. Admissions will follow orders issued from time to time by the State Government, and any applicable Supreme Court or High Court directions.

At the time of actual admission, candidates must submit the printed filled-in application along with original certificates and one set of self-attested copies to the Principal of the allotted college for final verification — any discrepancy found at this stage will result in the provisional allotment order being cancelled.

What to Do Now

Check your NEET MDS 2026 score against the applicable cut-off for your category before starting registration - remember the relaxed percentile for SC/ST/OBC/PWD is for eligibility only, not for reservation benefit under Management Quota.

Register on https://pvttsmds.tsche.in  within the 9th-13th September window, and upload every mandatory document carefully in one go, since this is a one-time registration and certificate-upload process for the entire counselling cycle.

Keep the Registration and Verification Fee (₹10,000) plus any applicable equivalency fee (₹5,000 for other-state BDS, ₹7,000 for other-country BDS) ready before starting your application, since none of these fees are refundable.

Regularly check the KNRUHS website http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in/  for the seat matrix, tuition fee orders, and the separately notified web options/counselling schedule, since this registration notice does not cover the actual counselling dates.
