Puducherry CENTAC Round 1 Provisional Allotment List 2026-27: 908 Out of 929 Seats Filled

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, has published the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for UG NEET-based professional courses — MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc & AH — for the 2026-27 academic year. The Round 1 Allotment Numbers

CENTAC published the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List on 3rd September, 2026, after disposing of objections and grievances candidates had raised against the earlier Draft Allotment List. Across all courses and quotas combined, 908 out of 929 total seats have been allotted in this round.

Course and quota-wise, the numbers stand as follows: MBBS Government Quota had 334 seats, with 323 allotted. MBBS Management Quota saw all 221 seats fully allotted, as did MBBS NRI Quota, with all 98 seats filled. BDS Government Quota had 86 seats, with 81 allotted, while BDS Management Quota (115 seats) and BDS NRI Quota (5 seats) were both fully allotted. BAMS Government Quota had 44 seats, with 39 allotted. BVSc & AH saw both its Management/Self-Supporting Quota (22 seats) and NRI Quota (4 seats) fully allotted.

Why the Government Quota Numbers Are Slightly Short

Two categories — MBBS and BDS Government Quota — show more total seats than allotted seats, and CENTAC's notice explains both gaps clearly.

For MBBS Government Quota, 4 additional seats have been withheld pending the outcome of a Writ Appeal (W.A. No. 2674 of 2026) before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras — meaning these seats are deliberately held back rather than unfilled due to lack of candidates.

Separately, CENTAC's earlier notice (dated 1st September, 2026) had already excluded MBBS seats in Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and BDS seats in Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College from the Round 1 Draft Allotment entirely, which also affects the total seat count reflected in this round.

Why Some Candidates Were Removed from the List

CENTAC has flagged one specific category of removal: candidates who were allotted seats in JIPMER under "Internal-Puducherry U.T. Domicile" status, as per MCC's Provisional NEET-UG Counselling Seats Allotment-2026 Round 1, but who did not furnish willingness to participate in CENTAC counselling, have been removed from this Round 1 Allotment List. If you fall into this category and still want a CENTAC-allotted seat, you'll need to watch for how this is handled in subsequent rounds.

How to Check and Download Your Allotment

Candidates can check their allotment status and download their allotment order from 3rd September, 2026 onward, using their Dashboard login credentials on www.centacpuducherry.in.

Special Reporting Requirements for MSP and NRI Candidates

MSP (Meritorious Sports Person) quota candidates must report to the CENTAC office for verification of original documents specifically on 4th September, 2026. Your allotment order will only be enabled after this verification is successfully completed.

NRI quota candidates must report to the CENTAC office for original document verification between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, from 4th to 7th September, 2026. As with MSP candidates, the allotment order is enabled only once verification is successfully completed — so NRI candidates should not assume their allotment is final until this step is done.

Reporting to Your Allotted College

All allotted candidates must report to the Principal of their allotted college along with all original certificates and their downloaded allotment order, starting 3rd September, 2026. The last date for joining is 7th September, 2026, 5:00 PM. Admission is strictly conditional on producing all requisite original certificates and completing every admission formality within this window.

Fee Payment: Who Pays and Who's Exempt

The fee structure for UG NEET-based courses for 2026-27 has been uploaded on the CENTAC website. Candidates must transfer the applicable fee to the CENTAC account by following the instructions on their dashboard, and are advised to read the HELP instructions carefully before proceeding.

Three specific groups are exempt from fee payment: Puducherry SC/ST candidates allotted seats under Government Quota (fee paid by the AD Welfare Department), Puducherry EBC candidates allotted seats under Government Quota (fee paid by the Fisheries Department), and Puducherry candidates allotted seats under the 10% Government School reservation.
