Puducherry CENTAC NEET MDS 2026 Round 1 Draft Allotment List Published: Everything You Need to Know

Sep 8, 2026

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has released the Round 1 Draft Allotment List for PG Dental (MDS) counselling 2026-27. Here's everything confirmed about the CENTAC NEET MDS Puducherry draft allotment, along with what MDS aspirants should do next.

What's Been Announced

CENTAC, functioning under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, published the Round 1 Draft Allotment List for PG Dental (M.D.S.) Courses 2026-2027 on 6th September 2026 on the official website, www.centacpuducherry.in.  This is the first seat allotment result of the CENTAC NEET MDS 2026 counselling process, covering Government Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota MDS seats in Puducherry's dental colleges, including Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGIDS) and other approved private dental institutions in the Union Territory.

Candidates who registered for CENTAC PG Dental counselling and submitted their course preferences can now log in to their CENTAC dashboard to check whether they have been tentatively allotted an MDS seat, and if so, in which college and specialisation.

How CENTAC Reached the MDS Round 1 Draft Allotment

The Round 1 Draft Allotment List did not appear in isolation — it is the outcome of a multi-step CENTAC NEET MDS counselling schedule that has been running since July 2026:

  • 1 July 2026 — Admission notification and PG Dental (MDS) Information Brochure 2026-27 released; fresh applications opened for PG Dental courses.

  • 10 July 2026 — Last date extended for submission of application to PG Dental (MDS) courses.

  • 23 July 2026 — PG Dental (M.D.S.) Seat Matrix for the academic year 2026-2027 published.

  • 18 August 2026 — Draft Merit List for PG Dental courses based on NEET MDS 2026 released.

  • 24 August 2026 — Revised Draft Merit List for PG Dental courses published after objections were examined.

  • 4 September 2026 — Final Merit List for PG Dental (MDS) courses published, along with the window for candidates to submit their course preferences for Round 1 allotment.

  • 5 September 2026 — MGPGIDS MDS fee structure for 2026-27, and the MINDS BDS & MDS reduced fee notification, released ahead of allotment.

  • 6 September 2026 — Round 1 Draft Allotment List for PG Dental (MDS) courses 2026-2027 published.

This sequence — seat matrix, draft merit list, revised merit list, final merit list, course preference submission, and then draft allotment — mirrors the same pattern CENTAC used for its UG NEET (MBBS/BDS) counselling earlier in the 2026-27 cycle, so MDS candidates familiar with that process will find the structure familiar.

Why the "Draft" Allotment Is Not Final

As with all CENTAC counselling rounds, the Round 1 Draft Allotment List for MDS is provisional. CENTAC's standard practice — followed consistently across its UG NEET, UG Non-NEET, B.Tech Lateral Entry, and Fine Arts counselling this season — is to publish a draft allotment first, open a short window for candidates to raise objections or discrepancies through the "Grievances" option on their dashboard login, examine those objections, and only then issue the confirmed Provisional Allotment List. Candidates should treat the MDS draft list strictly as an indicative, tentative assignment and should not assume it guarantees their final seat.

Who Should Check the Dashboard

Every candidate who applied for CENTAC PG Dental (MDS) 2026-27 counselling — under Government Quota, Management Quota, or NRI Quota — and submitted course preferences ahead of the 4 September 2026 deadline should log in to check their Round 1 draft MDS allotment status. Candidates whose course preferences were left blank are not considered for allotment at all, a rule CENTAC has enforced consistently through this counselling cycle.

What MDS Candidates Should Do Now

  1. Log in to the CENTAC PG Dental Dashboard at www.centacpuducherry.in  and check your Round 1 draft MDS allotment status against your NEET MDS 2026 rank and category.

  2. Verify your allotted college, course, and category carefully. Cross-check details against the official notice and seat matrix for PG Dental courses.

  3. Raise objections promptly through the Grievances option, if you spot any discrepancy in category, quota, or seat details — do not wait, since CENTAC's objection windows for other rounds this season have closed within 24 hours of the draft list going live.

  4. Do not submit objections by email or in person — CENTAC has repeatedly clarified across its 2026-27 notices that objections are accepted only through the dashboard login.

  5. Watch for the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for MDS, which will follow once objections are disposed of, and keep tracking the official CENTAC website for the exact reporting and admission deadline for allotted candidates.

Fee Structure for Allotted Candidates

Candidates allotted an MDS seat should also refer to the MGPGIDS MDS Fee Structure for 2026-27, published on 5 September 2026, and the earlier notice on BDS & MDS reduced fees for the academic year 2026-2027, issued on 3 September 2026, both available on the CENTAC website, before proceeding with reporting and admission formalities.

Key Things to Remember

  • CENTAC published the Round 1 Draft Allotment List for PG Dental (MDS) courses 2026-27 on 6 September 2026 on www.centacpuducherry.in.

  • The list follows the Final Merit List for PG Dental courses, published on 4 September 2026, and the seat matrix released on 23 July 2026.

  • This is a draft, not final, allotment — CENTAC will publish a Provisional Allotment List after resolving candidate objections submitted through the dashboard's Grievances option.

  • Candidates with blank course preferences were not considered for Round 1 MDS allotment.

  • Keep checking www.centacpuducherry.in  under the PG-Dental section for the latest notices, the provisional allotment list, and reporting instructions.
