What's Been Released

Round 1 Timeline So Far

Registration and fee payment for Round 1 remained open until 23rd August, 2026, with the window closing at 3:00 PM and fee payment accepted  until 6:00 PM the same day. Following choice filling and locking, the first provisional allotment was released, and the process concluded with the final result on 2nd September.

Candidates allotted seats must download their allotment documents and report to their assigned dental institution between 27th August and 1st September, 2026, for the provisional stage - candidates should check the MCC portal for their specific institute's reporting deadline, since this window can shift with each result revision.

How Seats Were Allotted

MCC prepared the Round 1 allotment based on each candidate's NEET MDS rank, the preferences/choices they filled and locked, and seat availability across participating institutions. Once a candidate accepts their allotted seat and completes reporting, admission is confirmed - failing to complete this step results in the allotment being revoked automatically.

What to Do If You've Been Allotted a Seat

Download your allotment letter from the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in , using your registration login credentials.

Approach your allotted college or institute with the allotment letter and complete document verification along with the required admission formalities, including payment of applicable college fees, within your specified reporting window.

If you're not satisfied with your allotted seat and wish to upgrade, you'll need to formally resign from your current seat and participate in the next round of counselling — MCC does not allow you to hold a Round 1 seat while separately seeking an upgrade.

The Counselling Isn't Over Yet

NEET MDS 2026 counselling continues in four stages overall: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and an Online Stray Vacancy Round. If you weren't allotted a seat in Round 1, or wish to try for a better option, subsequent rounds remain open. Candidates should regularly check the MCC portal for updated schedules, seat matrices, and deadlines for these later rounds.

If allotted a seat you wish to keep, complete document verification and fee payment within the given window - don't delay, since incomplete reporting cancels the allotment automatically.

If you plan to seek an upgrade, formally resign from your current seat before registering for the next round, rather than assuming you can hold both simultaneously.

Keep your required documents - BDS degree certificate, NEET MDS scorecard, category certificates (if applicable), and valid ID - ready in original form for verification at your allotted institute.
