JEE Main 2027 Registration: Expected Start Date, Application Link, Fee and Steps to Apply

JEE Main 2027 registration (also searched as JEE Mains registration 2027) has not started yet. NTA is expected to open the Session 1 application form in the last week of October 2026 on jeemain.nta.nic.in with the last date likely in the last week of November. Session 1 is scheduled for 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 January 2027, with 31 January as a buffer date (Source: NTA 2027 exam calendar; registration notice awaited).

Has JEE Main 2027 registration started? 

No. As of 9 October 2026, NTA has not released the Information Bulletin or activated the application link. The only official place to apply is jeemain.nta.nic.in  (also reachable through nta.ac.in). Any "live" registration link on another website is not the official form.

When will JEE Main 2027 registration start and end?

• Session 1 registration start: last week of October 2026 (expected).

• Session 1 last date: last week of November 2026 (expected). The window usually stays open for about 27 to 28 days.

• Correction window: after the last date, dates to be announced.

• Session 2: registration expected in late January or early February 2027, with the exam tentatively in April 2027.

The estimate follows the previous cycle, when NTA released the notification and application form on 31 October 2025 for a January 2026 exam. Treat these dates as expected, not confirmed, until NTA publishes the notice.

What is the JEE Main 2027 application fee?

NTA has not announced the 2027 fee. In the previous cycle, the General (male) fee for Paper 1 or Paper 2 was reported at ₹1,000 and the SC/ST/PwD fee at ₹500, with other categories and overseas centres charged differently. The confirmed fee for each category will be in the Information Bulletin.

What are the steps to apply for JEE Main 2027?

1. Open jeemain.nta.nic.in and click the Session 1 registration link once it is live.

2. Register with Aadhaar or DigiLocker, or with an alternative ID such as a passport or PAN, as allowed in the previous cycle.

3. Note the credentials sent to your mobile number and email.

4. Fill in personal, academic and category details, and choose your paper and exam cities.

5. Upload your photograph and signature in the specified format. NTA may also ask for a live webcam photograph.

6. Pay the fee online and submit the form.

7. Download the confirmation page and keep it for later stages.

Is Aadhaar mandatory for JEE Main 2027 registration?

This is not confirmed. In the previous cycle, NTA used Aadhaar-based verification heavily and advised candidates to update their Aadhaar details first, but it also accepted alternative IDs. Some "live" pages now call Aadhaar mandatory without citing a bulletin, so wait for NTA's 2027 rules. If you plan to use Aadhaar, make sure your name, date of birth and gender match your Class 10 records.

What should I keep ready before the form opens?

• Aadhaar or another valid photo ID.

• Class 10 marksheet or certificate.

• Recent photograph and scanned signature.

• Category certificate, if you are applying under OBC-NCL, SC, ST or EWS.

• An active mobile number and email address.

What to do now

• Check that your Aadhaar and Class 10 details match, and start any correction early because it can take time.

• Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in regularly from the third week of October for the official notice.

• When results come out, compare verified cutoff and seat data so your choices match your likely rank.
