All ArticlesAndhra Pradesh MDS Competent Authority Quota: Final Allotment Published, Here's What to Do Next
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has published the Final Allotment for Phase-I of PG Dental (MDS) counselling under Competent Authority Quota (CQ) seats for the 2026-27 academic year. Here's what this means and the steps allotted candidates need to complete now.
Where This Fits in the Counselling Timeline
This final allotment follows directly from the Web Options window for Phase-I CQ counselling, which NTRUHS had opened for candidates listed in the CQ Provisional Final Merit List. With that options window now closed and processed, the university has moved to publishing the Final Allotment — the confirmed seat assignment stage, as opposed to any earlier provisional or draft listing.
This round covers seats in Government Dental Colleges (Vijayawada and Kadapa) after their All India Quota contribution, along with Category-A Convenor Quota seats (50% of intake) in Private Un-aided Non-Minority Dental Colleges across Andhra Pradesh, affiliated to NTRUHS.
How to Check and Download Your Allotment
Allotted candidates need to log in to the official university portal, https://drntr.uhsap.in, using their registration credentials to check their Final Allotment status and download their Allotment Order.
University Fee Payment Is Mandatory to Download
Selected candidates must pay the University Fee of ₹25,600 online — via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking — before they can download their Allotment Order. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, so candidates should be certain about accepting their allotted seat before making this payment.
Reporting to Your Allotted College
Once you've downloaded your Allotment Order, you must report in person to the Principal of your allotted college, along with all original certificates and the requisite Tuition Fee, within the date specified on your Allotment Order. Document verification happens at the college itself — if any discrepancy is found in your original certificates, your provisional allotment can be cancelled and further action initiated.
Tuition Fees for CQ Seats (Private Colleges)
For Private Un-aided Dental Colleges, the tuition fee structure for 2026-27, as per G.O.Rt.No.786 dated 29-08-2026, stands at ₹3,92,783 for Clinical Degree/Diploma courses and ₹3,53,504 for Para Clinical Degree/Diploma courses, both subject to the outcome of pending court cases (W.P.Nos. 32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022).
Important Rules to Keep in Mind
Candidates who join their allotted seat and later wish to withdraw face serious consequences: as per G.O.Ms.No.67 dated 21-04-2017, withdrawal from a joined seat in the final counselling phase results in a 3-year debarment from PG Dental admissions in Andhra Pradesh, along with a ₹3,00,000 penalty. Discontinuation is permitted only after the entire counselling process concludes as per the MCC-notified schedule.
Joined candidates from this Phase-I round remain eligible for further upgradation only up to Phase-III (Mop-Up round). Candidates who reported and joined in Phase-I can also opt for a Free Exit, as per a schedule to be separately notified.
