All ArticlesAndhra Pradesh MDS Counselling 2026: PG Dental CQ Phase-I Final Allotment Result Released, Report by 11th September
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, has released the Final Allotment Result for PG Dental (MDS) Degree/Diploma Competent Authority Quota (CQ) Counselling Phase-I. Here's everything confirmed about the AP MDS CQ Phase-I final allotment, the reporting deadline, and what allotted candidates must do next.
What's Been Announced
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, issued a Notice (No. 5148/EA2/PG/2026) dated 7th September 2026, confirming that the Final Result for PG Dental Degree/Diploma Competent Authority Quota Counselling Phase-I is now available. As per the notice, all grievances received from candidates were examined by the Selection Committee, and no discrepancies were found in the allotments released — meaning this Phase-I result stands as final, with no further corrections expected at this stage.
Reporting Deadline: 11th September 2026, 3:00 PM
The most critical detail in the notice is the reporting deadline:
The Last Date for Reporting at the Allotted College is by 3:00 PM on 11th September 2026.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in this Phase-I result must complete reporting at their allotted college within this window — there is no indication of any grace period beyond 3:00 PM on 11th September.
Classes for admitted PG Dental students will commence from 17th September 2026, giving allotted candidates roughly a week between the reporting deadline and the start of the academic session to complete admission formalities at their respective institutes.
What Allotted Candidates Must Do
Download the Allotment Letter from the official Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences website.
Follow the instructions given in the Allotment Letter and approach the allotted college or institute accordingly — the university has explicitly advised candidates to act as per the letter's specific instructions rather than assuming a standard reporting procedure applies uniformly.
Report in person at the allotted college by 3:00 PM on 11th September 2026, with all original documents required for admission.
Report only at the allotted institute — not at any other college, even if a seat appears available elsewhere.
Important Warning: No Dual Reporting
The notice carries an explicit and strongly worded caution for candidates:
"Dual Reporting in Andhra Pradesh State counselling and other State counselling including AIQ will be seriously viewed."
This means candidates who have secured an MDS seat through the AP CQ Phase-I counselling and are simultaneously holding or pursuing a seat through another state's counselling process or the All India Quota (AIQ) should be extremely cautious. Reporting at more than one place, or attempting to retain seats across two separate counselling systems, is treated as a serious violation by the university and can jeopardise a candidate's admission. Candidates should make a firm decision on which allotted seat to join and report only there.
Which Colleges Are Covered in Phase-I
The Phase-I CQ allotment spans MDS seats across postgraduate dental specialisations — including Conservative Dentistry (CONS), Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Oral Medicine & Radiology (OMRD), Orthodontics (ORTHO), Pedodontics (PEDO), Periodontics (PERIO), Prosthodontics (PROST), Oral Pathology (OPATH), and PhD/Diploma programmes — at a wide range of participating dental colleges across Andhra Pradesh, including:
Anil Neerukonda Institute of Dental Sciences, Visakhapatnam
Care Dental College, Guntur
CKS Teja Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Tirupati
Government Dental College and Hospital, Kadapa
Government Dental College and Hospital, Vijayawada
GITAM Dental College & Hospital, Visakhapatnam
G. Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital, Kurnool
GSL Dental College & Hospital, Rajahmundry
Konaseema Institute of Dental Sciences, Amalapuram
Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences, Rajahmundry
Narayana Dental College & Hospital, Nellore
SIBAR Institute of Dental Sciences, Guntur
St. Joseph Dental College, Eluru
Drs. Sudha & Nageswara Rao Institute of Dental Sciences, Gannavaram
Sree Sai Dental College and Research Institute, Srikakulam
Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram
Allotments were made against NEET MDS rank and score, spread across all reservation categories, including OC, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC1, SC2, SC3, and ST, with candidates allotted under the General sub-category and, in several cases, the MRC (Minority Religious/Community) sub-quota within specific colleges. Candidates should check their own name, NEET rank, and allotted college/course carefully on the official allotment letter rather than relying on any secondary source.
Why This Result Matters
Because the Selection Committee has already examined and disposed of all grievances with no discrepancies found, this Phase-I result is effectively final for the seats allotted — candidates should not expect a revised list. This makes the 11th September reporting deadline especially firm, and candidates who delay verification of their allotment letter risk running out of time to complete reporting formalities before classes begin on 17th September 2026.
